REPORTING IN THE DIGITAL AGE

We are bombarded with news and information every millisecond, every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week (okay you get the idea) of our lives! What does it all mean? What's the point? How do we sift through and find out what is a good and credible source or what are just mindless bursts of pings from our smartphones and notification alerts? How do we as reporters (amateurs/pros) get our stories heard and prevent from drowning away into the saturation of information overload? Well, this year’s festival we will talk about all these things and more – together we can perhaps come up with brilliant answers for all these questions.  We'll have the chance to bounce around our ideas, learn a few tricks of the trade, and make some new and or familiar connections with like-minded talented, fantastic, and fun human beings – and maybe androids in the not too far future.

Also, this is a FREE event and we invite you to enjoy this festival!
